A Bill to require all employers to assist their insurers or carriers in processing claims arising under Title 42, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, (the Workers' Compensation Law) including the filing of a report by employers with their insurers; to require an insurer or self-insured employer to send notice of denial of a compensability claim under Title 42 to each provider of medical services and to any provider of health insurance for the injured worker, and provide for a procedure for resolving the same; to provide a method whereby the parties who are in disagreement over the compensability of a claim under Title 42 may by agreement make a disposition of the claim as is considered reasonable; and to provide that "compensation" under this Act includes all benefits, including medical services, provided for a compensable injury to a subject worker or the worker's beneficiaries by a direct responsibility employer.
