A Bill to amend Act 593 of 1978, as amended, relating to the Freedom of Information Act, so as to require written notification of a public body's determination regarding a request for records made under the Act to be mailed or personally delivered within fifteen days, to provide that a request is considered approved if notification requirements are not met, to provide that the public body is liable to the requesting party for costs of litigation if necessary, to provide that formal action taken in executive session must be ratified in public session for it to be effective, and to provide that if a person seeking to enforce the act prevails, he is entitled to immediate possession of the records requested.
