A Bill to amend Section 59-25-120, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the requirement that persons applying for teachers' certificates pass an examination on the Constitution of the United States and satisfy the Board of Examiners of their loyalty to the United States and its Constitution, so as to provide that no person is required to be a United States Citizen in order to be certified as a teacher in this State, and to provide that the State Board of Education by regulation shall provide for alternate means whereby applicants who are not citizens of the United States may satisfy the Board of Examiners of their loyalty to the United States and its Constitution.
