Senators BRIGHT and CASH proposes the following amendment (SR-853.CEM0002S):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, by adding an appropriately numbered SECTION to read:

SECTION X. Section 12-67-130 of the S.C. Code is amended by adding:

 (C) This chapter does not apply to abandoned building sites or portions of abandoned building sites put into operation as a data center. For the purposes of this subsection, "data center" means a facility comprised of one or more buildings that houses computer systems and associated components, including telecommunications and data storage systems, and that has a combined connected electrical load of fifty megawatts or more.
