Senator HUTTO, JACKSON, SABB, WILLIAMS, ALLEN, MATTHEWS, TEDDER, DEVINE, GRAHAM, OTT, SUTTON, and WALKER propose the following amendment (LC-5683.SA0080S):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, by adding an appropriately numbered SECTION to read:

SECTION X. In conducting the 2026 Congressional redistricting, any constitutional challenge to a congressional redistricting plan must be filed and heard on an expedited basis to ensure timely resolution prior to the conduct of any affected election. The Supreme Court of South Carolina is requested to give such actions priority consideration to the extent practicable.
