AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 50-3-10, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA WILDLIFE AND MARINE RESOURCES COMMISSION, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE CHAIRMAN OF THE AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES MAY DESIGNATE ANOTHER COMMITTEE MEMBER TO SERVE ON THE COMMISSION IN HIS STEAD, EX OFFICIO.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

To be governed by a commission-membership

Section 1. Section 50-3-10 of the 1976 Code is amended by inserting after "Representatives" on line nine ", or his designee,". The section when amended shall read:

"Section 50-3-10. The head and governing board of the South Carolina Wildlife and Marine Resources Department shall be a commission to be known as the South Carolina Wildlife and Marine Resources Commission, which shall be composed of nine members, one from each congressional district in the State and one at large who shall be appointed by the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, and the chairman of the Fish, Game and Forestry Committee of the Senate and the chairman of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee of the House of Representatives, or his designee, who shall serve ex officio."

Time Effective

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
