AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 50-11-3015, SO AS TO ESTABLISH FOREST; LAKE IN FLORENCE COUNTY AS A BIRD AND GAME SANCTUARY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Bird and game sanctuary created in Florence County

Section 1. The Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, is amended by adding:

"Section 50-11-3015. There is hereby created a bird and game sanctuary in Florence County which shall consist of the following area:

That area in Florence County known as Forest Lake bordered on the north by South Cashua Road and Highway 76, on the west by secondary road 106, on the south by Savannah Grove Road, on the east by Knollwood Road, this section shall also include all that portion of the lake east of Knollwood Road and extending one hundred yards from the shoreline.

It shall be unlawful to kill or maim any bird or animal or to use shotguns, rifles or pellet guns within the sanctuary.

Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars or be imprisoned for not more than thirty days."

Time effective

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
