AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 13 OF ACT 383 OF 1961, RELATING TO THE COMPENSATION OF THE TRUSTEES OF THE OCONEE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT, SO AS TO INCREASE THE COMPENSATION AND TO PROVIDE FOR PAYMENT OF MILEAGE AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED BY LAW.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Section 1. Section 13 of Act 383 of 1961 is amended by striking the second sentence and inserting: "The members of the board shall receive one hundred dollars per month and shall receive mileage as provided by law for members of boards, committees and commissions when engaged in official business.".

As amended the section shall read:

"Section 13. The board of trustees shall hold regular meetings at least once a month and special meetings as often as necessary. The members of the board shall receive one hundred dollars per month and shall receive mileage as provided by law for members of boards, committees and commissions when engaged in official business."

Time effective

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
