AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 40-57-230, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF A NEW LICENSE BY THE REAL ESTATE COMMISSION AFTER REVOCATION, SO AS TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS OF THE REAL ESTATE COMMISSION REQUIRED TO AUTHORIZE THE REISSUANCE OF A LICENSE FROM THREE TO A MAJORITY OF THE COMMISSION.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Conditions on which license shall be reissued

Section 1. Section 40 57-230 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Section 40-57-230. After the revocation of any license, no new license shall be issued to the same licensee, within a period of one year from and after the date of such revocation, nor at any time thereafter except upon an affirmative vote of at least a majority of the members of the commission."

Time effective

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
