AN ACT TO ADJUST THE BOUNDARIES OF HOLLYWOOD VOTING PRECINCT NO. 8 AND PLEASANT GROVE VOTING PRECINCT NO 14 IN SALUDA COUNTY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Boundaries of voting precincts in Saluda County changed

Section 1. There shall be deleted from Pleasant Grove Voting Precinct No. 14 and added to Hollywood Voting Precinct No. 14 in Saluda County the following described area:

"Beginning at the junction of County Road 70 extended and the creek running south of Phillippi Church; thence northeast along such creek to State Road 391; thence across Road 391 generally northeast along the creek which runs behind St. Mark Church and continuing in that direction to the Newberry County line; thence generally northwest along such county line to Wyses Ferry; thence generally south along county roads which constituted the eastern boundary of Hollywood Precinct No. 8 on January 1, 1980, to the point of beginning."

Maps and descriptions to be corrected

Section 2. The Division of Research and Statistical Services shall correct the maps and legal descriptions of the voting precincts in Saluda County to conform to the changes made in the boundaries of Hollywood No. 8 Precinct and Pleasant Grove No. 14 Precinct in Section 1.

Duplicate certificate to be mailed

Section 3. The Board of Registration of Saluda County shall mail a duplicate certificate reflecting the new precinct lines to any person whose registration is transferred to another precinct by virtue of the provisions of this act.

Time effective

Section 4. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
