AN ACT TO TRANSFER FROM THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA TO THE CITY OF COLUMBIA ANY INTEREST THE STATE MAY HAVE IN A PORTION OF THE WESTERN SIDE OF THE 800 BLOCK OF HARDEN STREET LOCATED IN THE CITY OF COLUMBIA.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Findings
Section 1. The General Assembly finds that a portion of Harden Street in the City of Columbia is in the original street layout for Columbia, established pursuant to state statute. The City Council of the City of Columbia on April 2, 1980, adopted a resolution requesting the transfer of any interest which the State may have in a portion of the western side of the 800 block of Harden Street in order to correct an encroachment problem.
Property transferred to City of Columbia
Section 2. All right, title and interest which the State of South may have in the following described property is hereby vested and transferred to the City of Columbia:
That portion of the western side of the 800 block of Harden Street between Green and College Streets in the City of Columbia being in shape rectangular parallelogram and beginning at a point 56.4 feet, more or less, from the center line of Harden and Green Streets and running northerly in a straight line on the western side of Harden Street for a distance of 417.75 feet to the intersection of Harden and College Streets, thence turning at a right angle and running westwardly for a distance of 7.1 feet, more or less, thence turning at a right angle and running southerly for a distance of 417.75 feet, thence turning eastwardly and running along Green Street for a distance 7.1 feet, more or less, to the point of commencement.
Time Effective
Section 3. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
