AN ACT TO DIRECT THE COMMISSIONER OF AGRICULTURE TO DEVELOP A PLAN TO STANDARDIZE THE GRADING OF GRAINS AND OILSEEDS AND CERTIFY PERSONS ENGAGED IN SUCH ACTIVITIES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Standardization of grading grains and oilseeds

Section 1. The Commissioner of Agriculture shall develop a plan to standardize the grading of grains and oilseeds and to certify persons engaged in the grading of grains and oilseeds. The plan shall be submitted in the form of regulations as defined under Act 176 of 1977 and submitted to the General Assembly on or before January 1, 1981. Methods for funding the implementation of this plan shall also be defined in the plan.

Enforcement to begin

Section 2. Enforcement of the plan developed by the Commissioner of Agriculture pursuant to Section 1 of this act shall begin on July 1, 1982.

Time effective

Section 3. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
