AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 50-11-350, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE PROHIBITION AGAINST HUNTING GAME DURING CLOSED SEASONS, SO AS TO INCREASE THE MAXIMUM PENALTY WHICH MAY BE IMPOSED FROM ONE HUNDRED TO TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Penalties

Section 1. Section 50-11-350 of the 1976 Code as last amended by Act 67 of 1979 is further amended by striking on line five "one" and inserting "two". The section when amended shall read:

"Section 50-11-350. It shall be unlawful for any person to hunt for any game during the closed season for the hunting of such game. Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined not less than fifty dollars nor more than two hundred dollars or imprisoned for a term not to exceed thirty days."

Time effective

Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 1980.
