AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 1343 OF 1970, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO A BOND ISSUE FOR THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF BEAUFORT COUNTY, SO AS TO DELETE PROVISIONS RELATIVE TO ALLOTMENTS TO THE SCHOOL DISTRICT FROM THE STATE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Payment of principal and interest of bonds for Beaufort County

Section 1. Section 9 of Act 1343 of 1970, as last amended by Act 1345 of 1970, is further amended by striking the last sentence. The section when amended shall read:

"Section 9. For the payment of the principal and interest of all bonds issued pursuant to this act, as they respectively mature, and for the creation of such sinking fund as may be necessary therefor, the full faith, credit and taxing power of Beaufort County shall be irrevocably pledged, and there shall be levied annually by the Auditor of Beaufort County, and collected by the Treasurer of Beaufort County, in the same manner as county taxes are levied and collected, a tax without limit on all taxable property in Beaufort County sufficient to pay the principal and interest of such bonds as they respectively mature and to create such sinking fund as may be necessary therefor."

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
