AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 50-11-2675 SO AS TO DESIGNATE THE GOOSE CREEK RESERVOIR IN BERKELEY COUNTY AS A WILDLIFE REFUGE AND TO PROVIDE PENALTIES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Goose Creek Reservoir to be wildlife refuge

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding: "Section 50-11-2675. There is established a wildlife refuge in Berkeley County which shall include Goose Creek Reservoir and that area around such reservoir within one-half of a mile from the shore line of the reservoir. It shall be unlawful for any person to hunt in the refuge provided for in this section. Anyone violating the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be subject to a fine of two hundred dollars or imprisonment for thirty days."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
