AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 50-11-140 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT IT SHALL BE UNLAWFUL TO HUNT DEER ON LAND DESIGNATED AS GAME MANAGEMENT AREAS WITHIN THREE HUNDRED YARDS OF A RESIDENCE AT ANY TIME AND PROVIDE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Unlawful to hunt deer near residences penalties

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 50-11-140. It shall be unlawful to hunt deer on land designated as game management areas within three hundred yards of a residence at any time. Anyone violating the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined not more than two hundred dollars or imprisoned not more than thirty days."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
