AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 52-7-80 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT STATUTORY PROVISIONS RELATING TO PRIZE FIGHTING AND BOXING SHALL NOT APPLY TO BOXING MATCHES SANCTIONED BY THE AMATEUR ATHLETIC UNION AND TO PERMIT THEIR LAWFUL CONDUCT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Boxing matches exempt

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 52-7-80. The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to boxing matches sanctioned by the Amateur Athletic Union and such matches may be lawfully conducted."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
