AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 50-11-1205 SO AS TO ESTABLISH A BAG LIMIT FOR RACCOONS IN GAME ZONE NO. 5 AND PROVIDE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Bag limit for raccoons in Game Zone penalties

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 50-11-1205. The bag limit for raccoons in Game Zone No. 5 shall be three per day for any person or any hunting party. For purposes of this section, 'hunting party' is defined as any group of persons engaged in the hunting of raccoons together.

Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars and not more than two hundred dollars or imprisoned for not more than thirty days."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
