AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 20-7-420, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE JURISDICTION AND POWERS OF FAMILY COURTS, SO AS TO PERMIT THE COURT TO ORDER VISITATIONS BY GRANDPARENTS OF CHILDREN INVOLVED IN SUPPORT CASES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Court may order visitations

Section 1. Subitem B of Item (18) of Section 20-7-420 of the 1976 Code, as contained in an act of 1981 bearing ratification number R-110, is amended by adding on line one after "spouse" "and/or the children's grandparents". So that when amended the Subitem will read:

"B. To permit either spouse and/or the children's grandparents to visit the children at stated periods;".

Time effective

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
