AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 1043 OF 1970, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE MACEDONIA FIRE DISTRICT IN CHEROKEE COUNTY, SO AS TO INCREASE THE DISTRICT'S BORROWING AUTHORITY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Bonding authority increased
SECTION 1. Item (8) of Section 4A of Act 1043 of 1970, as last amended by Act 236 of 1975, is further amended by striking "fifty" on line one and inserting "one hundred". The item when amended shall read :
" (8) To borrow not exceeding one hundred thousand dollars on such terms and for such a period as to the fire control board may seem most beneficial for the Fire District, in anticipation of taxes. The indebtedness shall be evidenced by a note or notes issued by the members of the board and the county treasurer. The full faith, credit and taxing power of the Macedonia Fire District is hereby irrevocably pledged for the payment of the indebtedness."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
