AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 48-15-10, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE LOW COUNTRY RESOURCES, CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY, SO AS TO ADD HAMPTON COUNTY TO THE COUNTIES COMPRISING THE AUTHORITY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Authority created

Section 1. Section 48-15-10 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding before "and" on the last line ", Hampton". The section when amended shall read:

"Section 48-15-10. There i s hereby created the Low Country Resources Conservation and Development Authority which shall be body corporate and o\politic hereinafter referred to as the 'authority'. The purpose of the authority shall be to institute and operate programs of soil drainage and flood prevention and any and all other measures to improve, enlarge, increase and otherwise enhance conservation of the natural resources in the counties of Beaufort, Jasper, Colleton, Dorchester, Berkeley, Hampton and Charleston."

Time effective

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
