AN ACT TO ABOLISH THE YORK COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION AND THE OFFICE OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY TO THE BOARD AND TO DEVOLVE THEIR POWERS AND DUTIES UPON THE RESPECTIVE BOARDS OF TRUSTEES OF THE AFFECTED SCHOOL DISTRICTS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Powers devolved upon trustees

Section 1. Effective June 30, 1982, the York County Board of Education and the Office of Administrative Secretary to the York County Board of Education are hereby abolished and those powers and duties exercised by either the board or the administrative secretary which affect individual school districts in the county are devolved upon the respective boards of trustees of the affected school districts.

Time effective

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon the approval by the Governor.
