AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 1768 OF 1972, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE NORTH CHARLESTON SEWER DISTRICT, SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR THE NECESSARY TAX MILLAGE FOR THE DISTRICT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1981-82.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Tax millage for North Charleston Sewer District
SECTION 1. Section 9, Part Two, of Act 1768 of 1972, as last amended by Act 589 of 1980, is further amended to read:
"Section 9. In addition to the tax necessary to meet obligations imposed upon the sewer district by the provisions of this act, the auditor of Charleston County shall levy and the treasurer of Charleston County shall collect, annually, a tax of sufficient millage to the nearest one-tenth mill on all taxable property within the territorial limits of the sewer district to provide the funds necessary to enable the commission to perform the functions committed to the sewer district pursuant to the provisions of this act, and paid out under warrants of at least two of its officers for carrying out the purposes of this act and the functions of the commission. For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1981, and ending June 30, 1982, the tax levy shall be of sufficient millage to the nearest one-tenth mill to produce two hundred twenty-eight thousand, two hundred twelve dollars."

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
