AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE LEVY OF TAXES FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES IN BERKELEY COUNTY FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1981.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Tax levy for school purposes in Berkeley County

SECTION 1. There is hereby levied on all the taxable property of the Berkeley County School District for the calendar year 1981 a tax of fifty-nine mills, the proceeds of which shall be used for general school purposes for the fiscal year 1981-82, such purposes to be set forth in the county school budget for such fiscal year to be adopted as provided by law. The tax shall be assessed and collected as other property taxes are assessed and collected.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
