AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 50-13-1760, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE SALE OF WHITE PERCH, COMMONLY KNOWN AS VIRGINIA PERCH, SO AS TO CHANGE THE OPENING DATE FOR SELLING SUCH FISH FROM FEBRUARY FIFTEENTH TO JANUARY FIRST.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Opening date for selling white perch

Section 1. Section 50-13-1760 of the 1976 Code, as added by Act 161 of 1981, is amended by striking on line three of the second paragraph "February fifteenth" and inserting "January first". The paragraph when amended shall read.

"Only fresh fish on ice with an invoice not over two weeks old shall be lawfully sold. Frozen fish may not be sold. White perch may be sold only during the period of January first through May first."

Time effective

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon the approval by the Governor.
