AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF SPARTANBURG COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 2 SHALL CONSIST OF TEN TRUSTEES AND THAT ONE OF THE TRUSTEES SHALL RESIDE IN CHEROKEE COUNTY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Composition of board of trustees

Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection 1 of Section 6 of Act 857 of 1952 and any other provisions of law to the contrary, the board of trustees of South Carolina Spartanburg District No. 2 shall consist of ten members, nine of whom shall reside in Spartanburg County and one of whom shall reside in Cherokee County. They shall be elected or appointed as provided for the other school districts of Spartanburg County under the provisions of subsection 1 of Section 6 of Act 857 of 1952.

Time effective

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon the approval by the Governor.
