AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-360, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO VOTING PRECINCTS IN LAURENS COUNTY, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE VOTING PLACE IN THE WOODVILLE PRECINCT SHALL BE AT GREENPOND RECREATION CENTER.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Precincts in Laurens County.

Section 1. Section 7-7-360 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 191 of 1977, is further amended by adding after "Woodville" on line two "at the Greenpond Recreation Center". The section when amended shall read:

"Section 7-7-360. In Laurens County there shall be the following precincts: Jones Store; Hopewell; Dials; Lanford; Woodville at the Greenpond Recreation Center; Joanna; Mountville; Youngs; Poplar Springs; Waterloo; Hickory Tavern; Brewerton at the school building; Ekom; Gray Court; Cross Hill; Trinity Ridge; Barksdale-Narine; Stewart's store; Cooks store at Stewart's store; Clinton Mill; Clinton No. 1 at the city hall in Clinton; Clinton No. 2 at the National Guard Armory on South Broad Street; Baileys; Martin's store; Grays; Lydia Mill; Long Branch; Mt. Pleasant; Ora; Shady Grove; Tip Top; Mt. Olive at the school building; Wattsville; Owings; Shiloh; Pleasant Mound; Princeton; Renno and Maddens. In the city of Laurens that shall be the following precincts and polling places: Ward No. 1 at the Easy Living Center on Church Street, Ward No. 2 at the Texaco Station at the corner of Watts Street and North Harper Street, Ward No. 3 at the old YMCA building on Holmes Street, Ward No. 4 at the Laurens Armory on South Harper Street extension, Ward No. 5 at Laurens Grammar School on Parkview Drive and Ward No. 6 at Laurens Elementary School on Henry Street.

The precinct lines defining the above precincts are as shown on maps filed with the Clerk of Court of the county and also on file with the State Election Commission as provided and maintained by the Division of Research and Statistical Services of the State Budget and Control Board."

Time effective

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon the approval by the Governor.
