AN ACT TO CONSOLIDATE FOUR PREVIOUSLY INCORPORATED SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN FLORENCE COUNTY INTO A SINGLE DISTRICT TO BE DESIGNATED FLORENCE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 5.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

School district areas consolidated

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the school district areas in Florence County previously known as Johnsonville School District No. 55, Trinity School District No. 35, Prospect School District No. 54 and Vox School District No. 56 are consolidated and such consolidated area is designated Florence County School District No. 5.

Consolidation done in accordance with Section 59-17-20

SECTION 2. The boundary alteration and consolidation provided for in Section 1 are done in accordance with the provisions of item (1) of Section 59-17-20 of the 1976 Code.

Time effective

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
