AN ACT TO AMEND SECTIONS 40-7-25 AND 40-7-120, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO BARBERS, SO AS TO ELIMINATE REQUIREMENTS THAT LICENSES PASS A TUBERCULOSIS SKIN TEST OR CHEST X-RAY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Physical examination required

Section 1. Item (2) of Section 40-7-25 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Section 1 of Act 143 of 1981, is further amended by striking on line one "tuberculosis skin test or chest x-ray and". The item when amended shall read:

"(2) Passes a physical examination prescribed by the Board of Health and Environmental Control;".

Further

Section 2. Item (3) of Section 40-7-120 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Section 2 of Act 143 of 1981, is further amended by striking on line two "and passes a tuberculosis skin test or chest X-ray". The item when amended shall read:

"(3) Passes a satisfactory physical examination as prescribed by the Board;".

Time effective

Section 3. This act shall take effect upon the approval by the Governor.
