AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 737 OF 1978, RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF DEFINED SINGLE-MEMBER ELECTION DISTRICTS FOR THE ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNING BODY OF CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, SO AS TO REAPPORTION SUCH DISTRICTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE UNITED STATES CENSUS OF 1980.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Chesterfield County Council election districts reapportioned

Section 1. Section 1 of Act 737 of 1978 is amended to read:

"Section 1. Beginning with the 1982 general election, one member of the governing body of Chesterfield County shall be elected from each of the following defined single-member election districts:
