AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 20-7-2980, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF REGULATIONS AND SUGGESTED STANDARDS BY THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES RELATIVE TO DAY CARE CENTERS AND HOMES, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT REGULATIONS SHALL BE PROMULGATED ACCORDING TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES ACT INSTEAD OF UNDER SPECIAL PROVISIONS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Department to submit final drafts of regulations

Section 1. Subsection e. of Section 20-7-2980 of the 1976 Code as added by Act 71 of 1981, is amended to read:

"e. The department shall submit final drafts of its regulations to the Legislative Council as proposed regulations, and the Administrative Procedures Act (Act 176 of 1977) shall govern their promulgation."

Time effective

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
