AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 50-17-2115, SO AS TO REQUIRE PERSONS FISHING FOR SHAD, HERRING, OR STURGEON TO OBTAIN LICENSES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Fishing license required

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 50-17-2115. Any person fishing for shad, herring, or sturgeon in either fresh or saltwaters of the State must obtain the applicable licenses required under Sections 50-17-450, 50-17-500, or 50-17-505, but is not required to obtain the commercial freshwater fishing licenses provided under Article 6 of Chapter 13 of this Title."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
