AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 50-17-505, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO ANNUAL LICENSES FOR USING COMMERCIAL FISHING EQUIPMENT FROM UNPOWERED BOATS AND WITHOUT A BOAT, SO AS TO REDUCE THE FEES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Fees

SECTION 1. Section 50-17-505 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Section 50-17-505. Any person using or transporting commercial fishing equipment in the waters of this State in an unpowered boat or using commercial fishing equipment without a boat is required to purchase from the Division of Marine Resources an annual license. The license fee for each type of commercial fishing equipment or gear is the same as that specified under Section 50-17-500."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
