AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-5-170, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO APPLICATIONS FOR REGISTRATION TO VOTE, SO AS TO REVISE THE CONTENTS OF THE APPLICATION PERTAINING TO CONVICTION FOR CERTAIN CRIMES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Application for registration to vote

SECTION 1. Item 5 of subsection (2) of Section 7-5-170 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

" / / 5.(a) I have never been convicted of a felony or crimes against the election laws; or

/ / (b) I have been convicted of a felony or crimes against the election laws.
