AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 50-9-170, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO POSTDATING OR ALTERING LICENSES OF THE WILDLIFE AND MARINE RESOURCES DEPARTMENT, SO AS TO PROHIBIT ALTERATION OF LICENSES OR PERMITS AND FRAUDULENT PRACTICES IN THE ISSUANCE OR OBTAINING OF THEM.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Prohibition on altering license or permit
SECTION 1. Section 50-9-170 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 94 of 1981, is further amended to read:
"Section 50-9-170. No person may alter any license or permit issued by the Department or issue, obtain or attempt to obtain a license or permit by fraud. Any person violating the provisions of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined not less than fifty dollars nor more than two hundred dollars or imprisoned not to exceed thirty days."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
