AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 50-11-2145, SO AS TO PROHIBIT BAITING FOR BEAR HUNTING.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Baiting for bear hunting prohibited

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 50-11-2145. It is unlawful to use any type bait to concentrate the bear population in any area or to lure them to any location which gives the hunter an unnatural advantage when he is hunting bear."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
