AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 50-11-2210, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO TURKEYS AND TURKEY EGGS, SO AS TO REQUIRE THAT ANY PERSON POSSESSING PEN-RAISED WILD TURKEYS MUST HAVE A POSSESSION PERMIT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Possession permit required

SECTION 1. Section 50-11-2210 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 186 of 1979, is further amended by adding after subsection (8):

"(9) It is unlawful for any person to possess pen-raised wild turkeys without a possession permit issued by the Department."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
