AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 1829 OF 1972, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE LAKE CUNNINGHAM FIRE DISTRICT IN GREENVILLE COUNTY, SO AS TO INCREASE THE LIMIT OF INDEBTEDNESS WHICH MAY BE INCURRED BY THE DISTRICT FROM THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS TO ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

District may borrow

SECTION 1. Item (h) of Section 5 of Act 1829 of 1972 is amended to read:

"(h) To borrow not exceeding one hundred fifty thousand dollars on the terms and for a period as the fire control board may consider most beneficial for the fire district in anticipation of taxes. The indebtedness must be evidenced by a note issued by the members of the board and the county treasurer. The full faith, credit, and taxing power of the Lake Cunningham Fire District is irrevocably pledged for the payment of the indebtedness."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
