AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 50-13-815, SO AS TO ALLOW THE USE OF CERTAIN GILL NETS DURING THE MONTHS OF JUNE, JULY, AND AUGUST IN CONCH CREEK IN GEORGETOWN COUNTY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Size of gill nets

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 50-13-815. Gill nets of a mesh size of not less than seven and one-half inches nor greater than eight-inch stretch may be used during the months of June, July, and August in Conch Creek, a tributary of the Pee Dee River in Georgetown County. Any sturgeoncaught in the nets must be immediately returned to the water."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
