A JOINT RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CALHOUN COUNTY COUNCIL TO LEVY TAXES FOR FISCAL YEAR 1984-1985 FOR THE OPERATION OF THE CALHOUN COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES, CALHOUN COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION, CALHOUN COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, ORANGEBURG-CALHOUN TECHNICAL COLLEGE, THE CALHOUN COUNTY MENTAL RETARDATION COMMISSION INCLUDING THE L. MARION GRESSETTE CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER, COVEC, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES FOR WHICH TAXES WERE LEVIED PURSUANT TO CALHOUN COUNTY ORDINANCE 83-2.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Calhoun County Council authorized to levy taxes

SECTION 1. The Calhoun County Council is authorized to levy taxes for fiscal year 1984-1985 for the support of the Calhoun County School District Board of Trustees, Calhoun County Board of Education, Calhoun County Department of Education, Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, the Calhoun County Mental Retardation Commission, including the L. Marion Gressette Child Development Center, COVEC, and for other purposes for which taxes were levied in Calhoun County Ordinance 83-2.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
