AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 50-11-3620, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO APPROVAL REQUIRED TO ENGAGE IN COMMERCIAL PROPAGATION OF PEN-RAISED QUAIL, SO AS TO ELIMINATE THE APPROVAL REQUIRED OF THE SENATOR AND AT LEAST ONE-HALF THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE COUNTY IN WHICH THE BUSINESS IS TO BE CONDUCTED; TO REPEAL SECTION 50-11-3630, RELATING TO EXEMPTION OF LEGISLATION APPROVAL FOR RENEWAL OF LICENSES FOR PEN-RAISED QUAIL PROPAGATION.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Pen-raised quail

SECTION 1. Section 50-11-3620 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Section 50-11-3620. With the approval of the South Carolina Wildlife and Marine Resources Department, any person may engage in the business of propagating pen-raised quail for commercial purposes upon compliance with this article."

Repeal

SECTION 2. Section 50-11-3630 of the 1976 Code is repealed.

Time effective

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
