AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 50-11-15, SO AS TO PROHIBIT THE USE AT NIGHT OF ARTIFICIAL LIGHTS FROM VEHICLES OTHER THAN WATER CONVEYANCES, EXCEPT VEHICLE HEADLIGHTS ON PUBLIC ROADS OR HIGHWAYS TO HARASS WILDLIFE AFTER 11:00 P.M. AND TO PROVIDE PENALTIES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Penalty

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 50-11-15. The use of artificial lights from any vehicle or water conveyance for the purpose of observing or harassing wildlife is unlawful after 11:00 p.m.

Any person violating the provisions of this act is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction must be fined not more than one hundred dollars or imprisoned for not more than thirty days."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
