A JOINT RESOLUTION TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA BOARD OF FUNERAL SERVICES, RELATING TO THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF FUNERAL ESTABLISHMENTS; THE LICENSING PROCEDURES AND EDUCATIONAL CRITERIA FOR LICENSURE OF FUNERAL DIRECTORS, EMBALMERS AND APPRENTICES; THE REGISTRATION OF APPRENTICES; STANDARDS OF CONDUCT FOR FUNERAL DIRECTORS AND EMBALMERS; AND REQUIREMENTS FOR MAINTENANCE OF SANITARY EMBALMING FACILITIES AND CLEAN AND SAFE FUNERAL ESTABLISHMENTS, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 428, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ACT 176 OF 1977.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Reglations approved

SECTION 1. The regulations of the South Carolina Board of Funeral Services, relating to the operation and maintenance of funeral establishments; the licensing procedures and educational criteria for licensure of funeral directors, embalmers and apprentices; the registration of apprentices; standards of conduct for funeral directors and embalmers; and specific requirements for maintenance of sanitary embalming facilities and clean and safe funeral establishments, designated as Regulation Document Number 428, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to Act 176 of 1977, are approved.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
