AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 50-11-610, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO SEASONS FOR THE HUNTING OF GAME IN GAME ZONE NO. 4, SO AS TO ALLOW THE HUNTING OF RABBITS WITH DOGS, BUT WITHOUT FIREARMS, FROM FEBRUARY SIXTEENTH UNTIL THANKSGIVING DAY, EXCEPT IN GAME MANAGEMENT AREA HUNT UNITS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Open season

SECTION 1. Item 6 of Section 50-11-610 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"(6) The open season for the hunting of rabbits is from February sixteenth until Thanksgiving Day with dogs only and Thanksgiving Day to February fifteenth with dogs and guns.

The open season for hunting rabbits with dogs only does not apply within Game Management Area Hunt Unit boundaries in Game Zone 4 and no rabbit hunting is lawful during those dates within those boundaries."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
