AN ACT TO EMPOWER THE SOUTH CAROLINA TEXTILE INDUSTRY STUDY COMMITTEE TO STUDY THE RESTRICTIONS AND QUARANTINES ON TEXTILE AND APPAREL IMPORTS THAT ARE IMPOSED ON THE EXPORTATION OF SOUTH CAROLINA PRODUCED TEXTILES AND APPARELS BY ANY IMPORTING NATION AND TO FURTHER STUDY THE FEASIBILITY OF PLACING SIMILAR RESTRICTIONS ON TEXTILES AND APPARELS IMPORTED INTO SOUTH CAROLINA.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Study committee is empowered

SECTION 1. The South Carolina Textile Industry Study Committee by direction of the South Carolina General Assembly is empowered to study the restrictions and quarantines on textile and apparel imports that are imposed on the exportation of South Carolina produced textiles and apparels by any importing nation and to further study the feasibility of placing similar restrictions and quarantines on textile and apparel imports coming into the South Carolina market.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
