AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT ANY MUNICIPAL OR COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY SHALL PROVIDE FOR PROCEDURES WHEREBY TENANTS OF ITS PROPERTY MAY PAY THEIR REQUIRED RENT IN VARIOUS REASONABLE WAYS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PAYMENT BY PERSONAL DELIVERY OR BY MAIL.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Housing authority shall provide for procedures

SECTION 1. Any municipal or county housing authority shall provide for procedures whereby tenants of its property may pay their required rent in various reasonable ways, including but not limited to, payment by personal delivery or by mail.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
