AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT BEGINNING WITH TAX YEAR 1986, THERE IS NO LIMITATION ON THE NUMBER OF MILLS THAT MAY BE IMPOSED IN LEXINGTON COUNTY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE FIRE DISTRICTS IN THE COUNTY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Limitation on millage

SECTION 1. Beginning with tax year 1986, there is no limitation on the number of mills that may be imposed in Lexington County for the benefit of the fire districts in the county.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
