A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE THAT THE FUNDS AUTHORIZED IN ACT 646 OF 1978 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND EQUIPPING OF A SEAFOOD INDUSTRIAL PORT MAY BE USED TO CONSTRUCT OR ACQUIRE RELATED FACILITIES TO SUPPORT THE PROPOSED ACTIVITIES OF THE PORT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Findings

SECTION 1. The General Assembly finds in subitem 23 of item (f) of Section 3 of Act 1377 of 1968, as added by Section 2 of Act 646 of 1978, it authorized the expenditure of one million five hundred thousand dollars for "Seafood Industrial Port - Construction and Equipment" and conditions have developed that rail access must be provided to the port facilities.

Funds may be used

SECTION 2. Funds authorized in Act 646 of 1978 for "Seafood Industrial Port - Construction and Equipment" may also be used to construct or acquire facilities to support the proposed activities of the Seafood Industrial Port.

Time effective

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
