AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 50-21-170 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT CHANGES IN FEDERAL LAW OR REGULATIONS RELATING TO BOATING MUST AUTOMATICALLY AND IMMEDIATELY BE REFLECTED IN REGULATIONS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA WILDLIFE AND MARINE RESOURCES DEPARTMENT AND THE CHANGES MUST BE PUBLISHED IN THE NEXT ISSUE OF THE STATE REGISTER.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Regulations

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 50-21-170. The regulations adopted by the department pursuant to this chapter are subject to the federal regulations affecting boating. In the event of a change in the federal law or regulations, the regulations issued by the department must automatically and immediately reflect the change. The changes must be published in the next issue of the State Register."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
