AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 40-6-60, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSES FOR AUCTIONEERS, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE CREDIT RECORD OF ANY APPLICANT MAY BE CONSIDERED BY THE AUCTIONEERS' COMMISSION IN DETERMINING WHETHER OR NOT TO LICENSE THE APPLICANT AND TO ESTABLISH A FEE FOR A CREDIT INVESTIGATION.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Consideration of credit record

SECTION 1. Section 40-6-60 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding at the end:

"The credit record of an applicant for a license may be considered by the commission in determining whether or not to issue or renew a license. A fee of ten dollars must be paid to the commission for the applicant's credit investigation."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
